X Factor’s Tom Mann is heartbroken after the death of his fiancée Danielle Hampson on the morning of their wedding day.
The singer-songwriter, who found fame in the band Stereo Kicks on the ITV show and has written tracks for acts like JLS and Ronan Keating, revealed the news on Monday in a lengthy Instagram post.
He posted the tribute alongside a photo of Hampson, 34, cradling his eight-month-old son, saying he died early Saturday morning.
Mann, 28, said: “I can’t believe I’m typing these words, but my dearest Dani, my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life, passed away in the early hours of Saturday June 18.
“On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives, it ended in irreversible heartbreak.
“I feel like I have cried an ocean. We never made it to the altar; We didn’t get to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know you were my whole world and the best thing that ever happened to me, Danielle.
“I will wear this ring that I was always meant to wear as a sign of my unconditional love for you.”
He added of how he planned to raise his son in her memory: “I’m completely broken trying to process this and I honestly don’t know where to go from here but I know I need to use all the strength I can muster. for our little one.
“I will not be a mark on the father you have already become, but I promise that I will do my best to raise Bowie the way we always wanted. I promise you that he will know how amazing his mom was. I promise to make you so proud.
“The most beautiful person inside and out. The most incredible soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we are about to see an abundant outpouring of love that reflects that.
“I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but right now I am grieving and will be for a long, long time.
“My dear Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will always miss you.”
His famous friends flooded social media to offer their condolences.
Among them was singer Lewis Capaldi, 25, who said: “I love you brother”, while Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, 37, added: “Sending so much love, light and healing to you, Bowie and everyone who loved Dani!”
