She-Hulk Isn’t Daredevil And The Hulk’s First Live-Action Team

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law might unite Daredevil and Hulk on screen, but the Disney+ show won’t be their first television team-up.

She-Hulk: Lawyer It promises the return of Daredevil in the MCU, as well as the final appearance of the Hulk, but it won’t be the first time the two characters have appeared together to team up on a live-action TV show. The Charlie Cox iteration of Daredevil is making the leap from its gritty eponymous Netflix series to the more polished Disney+ universe, and its next stop at MCU will take place in yeshe-Hulk: lawyer. The show also features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and while Marvel Comics fans should be excited at the prospect of seeing the two superheroes sharing the screen, Daredevil and Hulk have appeared on television together before.

It’s fitting that Daredevil appears in a law-based show, as his secret identity, Matt Murdock, is a lawyer who brings criminals to justice in the courtroom. But he will do more than his day job on the Disney+ series, like the latest. She-Hulk: Lawyer The trailer shows the hero twirling through the air, wearing his most comically iconic Daredevil outfit and armed with his clubs. With Daredevil fully integrated into the MCU, it will be great to see him interact with more characters, including Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) and possibly Bruce Banner, again in his “Smart Hulk” form. However, while such a reunion may seem novel, Marvel has already shown Daredevil and the Hulk fighting together in live-action media.

In 1989, NBC aired a made-for-TV comic book movie called The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. It was a sequel to the incredible hulk returns as well as a further sequel to the hit television show based on Marvel Comics. The incredible Hulk starring Bill Bixby as “David” Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the first live-action Hulk. The Trial of the Incredible Hulk It begins with Bruce on the run, living under a pseudonym, but after a wrongful arrest for assault, he crosses paths with Matt Murdock (Rex Smith). As the Hulk, he teams up with Daredevil several times and they eventually part ways as friends. The TV movie was developed as a backdoor pilot for a Daredevil show and actually featured more of him than the Hulk, but the spin-off never happened. The Trial of the Incredible Hulk it’s an entertaining piece of nostalgia, but otherwise it doesn’t meet the current standards set by the MCU.

She-Hulk can successfully meet a team of Hulk and Daredevil

While a live-action Daredevil and Hulk team already exists, The Trial of the Incredible Hulk does not offer a particularly good representation. Compared to modern superhero movies, it’s a lukewarm and tedious movie, with lots of heart but little visual excitement. Furthermore, unlike in she-hulkwhere Daredevil wears his iconic costume, in the TV movie he wears a black suit similar to Matt Murdock’s in the first season of his Netflix show. Also, strangely for a movie with his name in the title, the Hulk appears less and less as the show goes on. In fact, the climax of the TV movie, in which Daredevil and Bruce Banner battle Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin (John Rhys-Davies), lacks the actual Hulk entirely.

The Hulk is unlikely to appear much in She-Hulk: Lawyer beyond what appears to be a training montage at the beginning of the series. However, She-Hulk will be front and center. in the middle of other MCU characters, and he looks like Daredevil You’ll be primed and ready to team up with the show’s main character. It’s not yet clear how much screen time Daredevil will get. She-Hulk: Lawyer, but any action scenes between him and the Hulk are sure to provide the team-up audiences deserve. At the very least their MCU reunion will have to be better than the relatively Hulk-less crossover Marvel fans got when the two characters last appeared together in live action, in The Trial of the Incredible Hulk.
