The Pittsburgh Penguins have cut their training camp slate up to 28 players.

Forward alex nylanderValtteri Puustinen, Draco CaggiulaPhilip Hallander jamie devanekyle olson nathan legacyRaivis Ansons, Corey Andonovski and Drew O’Connortogether with the defenders Xavier OuelletColin Swoyer and Jack St. Ivany have been assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton training camp in the American Hockey League.

Goalkeepers Filip Lindberg and Dustin Tokarsky he will also report to AHL training camp.

Nylander, Tokarski, Ouellet and Caggiula will have to go through waivers before joining Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Forward Radim Zohorna was also placed on exemption, but has not been removed from the Penguins’ training camp roster.

Owen Pickering and Nolan Collins have been sent back to their respective youth teams.

Sandin, 22, signed a two-year, $2.8 million deal on Sept. 29, ending a dispute that caused him to miss the start of training camp.

The 5-foot-11 defenseman had five goals and 16 points in 51 games last season.

Forward Pierre Engvall he is participating in his first Maple Leafs practice for the first time this training camp, according to TSN’s Mark Masters.

Engvall, 26, missed the start of training camp with an ankle injury.

The native of Ljungby, Sweden registered 15 goals and 35 points in 78 games last season.

The Calgary Flames have cut their roster up to 28 players on Sunday.

Forwards Walker Duehr, Adam Klapka, Mitch McLain, Jakob Pelletier, Cole Schwindt, Brett Sutter and Connor Zary, and defensemen Yan Kuznetsov and Ilya Solovyov have been assigned to the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.

Forward bishop clark, ben jonesY matthew phillipsdefensemen Nick DeSimone and Colton Poolman, and goalkeeper oscar dansk they have been placed on waivers in order to assign them to the Wranglers.

Forwards Emilio Pettersen, Martin Pospisil and defender Dennis Gilbert are injured and listed as day-to-day.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers have submitted Greg McKeg on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors on Sunday.

McKegg, 30, signed a two-year contract with the Oilers in the offseason and had two goals and five points in 43 games with the New York Rangers last season.

The Sabers have put goalkeeper malcolm subban on waivers Sunday with the intention of assigning him to the AHL’s Rochester Americans, according to Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.

Subban, 28, appeared in four games with the Sabers last season where he went 0-2-1 with a .871 save percentage and a 4.85 goals-against average.


boston bruins

Forward taylor room he did not practice Sunday with the Bruins due to an undisclosed injury, according to the Boston Globe’s Matt Porter.

Hall, 30, had 20 goals and 61 points in 81 games last season.


anaheim ducks

Forward trevor zegras it’s day to day with an upper body injury, but he will practice on Sunday.

Zegras, 21, had 23 goals and 61 points in 75 games last season.


seattle kraken

The Seattle Kraken have fielded forwards Jesper Forden, cameron hughes, kole lind, max mccormickAustin Poganski, Andrew Poturalski and Carsen Twarynski, defenders Gustav Olofsson and Brogan Raffertyand goalkeeper Magnus Hellberg on waivers for the purpose of assigning them to the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds on Sunday.


Washington Capitals

The Capitals have assigned forward hendrix lapierre and defense Vincent Iorio to the AHL’s Hershey Bears on Sunday.

The team has also placed forwards beck malenstynY garrett pylondefenseman Bobby Nardella, Dylan McIlrath, gabriel carlsonand goalkeeper Zach Fucale on waivers for the purpose of assigning them to the Bears.
