This week has been absolutely packed with new horrors, with six new horror movies that already opened at home last Tuesday. Guess what? That was just the beginning.
The summer horror season is in full swing with the first big theatrical release of the summer this weekend, and is joined by four new horror films this week.
Here’s all the new horror coming. June 23 and 24, 2022!
For the first time, the neon drenched horror movie developer premiered this morning on Shudderwritten by comic authors Tim Seeley (cut/cut, Renaissance) Y miguel moreci (Barbarian, the plot).
Director luke boyce‘s developer stars Caito Aase (black mold) Y shaina schrooten (Fear Pack II: Rad Chad’s Revenge).
In the film, “What started out as a typical Chicago workday in 1987 for Angie Pittarelli (Aase), a dancer at the Revealers bookstore’s peep show booth, turns tragic when her annoying boss is suddenly killed in a lift. outside the store leaving her trapped in the cabin, unable to escape. She soon learns that hiding in the cabin next to hers is none other than Sally Mewbourne (Schrooten), an overzealous religious protester who seems to enjoy herself by regularly harassing Angie.
“Sally is in a panic stating that the rapture has happened and the apocalypse has begun. With nowhere to turn, Angie and Sally must separate their differences and band together to fight this unknown evil, navigating the treacherous smugglers’ tunnels beneath the store to survive the unthinkable.”

Starring four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in the most terrifying role of his career and presenting thames mason in his first film role, the black phone is produced, directed and co-written by Scott Derrickson, the writer-director of Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and the Marvel ones doctor strange.
The screenplay for the film is by Derrickson & C.Robert Cargill (Doctor Strange, Sinister franchise).
Released in theaters last week, Vertical Entertainment’s Abandoned now it’s coming home to VOD outlets this Friday. Emma Roberts stars next door John Gallagher Jr. Y Michael Shannon.

Berber sound studio Y On cloth filmmaker Peter Strickland come back this week with Gourmet Flowa crazy new horror comedy that IFC Midnight brings tomorrow.
Gourmet Flow hits select theaters and Digital/VOD on Friday.
In the film, “A sound collective that cannot decide on a name settles in an institute dedicated to culinary and food performance. Members Elle di Elle, Billy Rubin and Lamina Propria are caught up in their own power struggles, only their dysfunctional dynamic is further exacerbated when they have to answer to the head of the institute, Jan Stevens. With various rivalries developing, Stones, the Institute’s ‘dossier’, has to privately endure worsening stomach problems while he documents the collective’s activities.

The latest horror release of the week is Dark Sky’s The dawn breaks behind the eyes, which arrives on Digital this Friday. It is said to be inspired by Mario Bava and classic Italian horror.

As time and space begin to move around them, a reality that only exists within the walls of the haunting building is exposed: a reality filled with warmth and excess.
